Aren't these photographs just amazing, taken by Tracey Anne of the Koistie Stud on Shetland.
Merkisayre Sprite (chestnut) is ridden by Tracey Anne's daughter Ellie and Merkisayre Sebastian by her friend Alanha. Photographs like this remind us summer really is on the way and make us look forward to visiting Shetland for the 2019 Breed Show even more. 2yr old colt Combebank Magna Carta was 3rd in a huge 1,2 and 3yr old mixed youngstock class & 2nd in BSPA open coloured inhand. Mare lunna Sherona with her 10 week old filly Nevanscott belle of the ball at foot got 4th in great company in a mixed m&m class.
News from Scotland this time from Amy McConville who had a super day all round with Midcalder Midnight.. "Had a great day out today with Milly for her first show. We were 3rd in senior turnout, 3rd in senior handler and reserve showmanship champion! Then we were 3rd in a really big novice pony class and 4th in a large Scottish breeds class! She was so well behaved for a young pony and took everything in her stride."
He was an Inhand Stallion before he was cut for Lead Rein. He does have some stock in the ground too. He's by Waulkmill Redstart out of Claylands Lady Jeanette."
meeting lots of people & talking about our lovely breed. Special thank you to Rebecca & Bethany Sartin who were brilliant chatting to all ages about their ponies(it was along day) even Fay got involved. Thank you also to Gillian, Bella & Jackie for bringing the ponies, Kilshane Almond, Bluebells Truffles & Sedgehill Olivia.
They performed so well together gaining 5th in the M&M FR in good company and 5th in the Novice Mixed M&M playing with the big boys......a huge credit to all of us."
