Drum roll please for these amazing photographs of Waulkmill Redstart, (owned by Alison Bromwich) and Dakota Keys who we can now reveal are the duo who were actually 3rd in the D/E/S class on Thursday at Hoys.
Due to a transposition of competitor numbers Red wasn't in the final pull in the ring but when the marks were revealed later the mistake was apparent and Red and Dakota were awarded their rightful rosette and given an amazing individual photo opportunity in the Top Spec Arena yesterday which Red certainly made the most of and quite rightly too. Anna Chaplin who sent us these gorgeous photographs said "We feel so incredibly grateful to HOYS for what they did for us yesterday, they made a 13yr old on her first visit extremely happy and have given her a very special "one off" memory! the crowd were very supportive and I am thankful to all that made it possible." Watch this space for another personal story and more information in the next week on this super pair who have set a new record this year. Photographs courtesy of 1st Class Images. New laws surrounding equine identification came into force in England today (1 October). Defra’s new equine identification regulations legally require every horse, pony and donkey to be microchipped and possess a valid UK passport, with details stored in the Central Equine Database (CED). All horses born after 30 June 2009 are already required to be microchipped. Owners of horses born before this date will have two years from today to get their equines microchipped.
