quite a few events seeing marquees, sound systems, fairground rides, busy agricultural shows and more and taking it all in her stride.
She is still green and needs further producing, however she does work nicely in all 3 paces and goes over poles and small jumps. She has seen traffic, farm machinery, games equipment, fancy dress etc. She has been hacking on the roads, worked in a busy arena, in fields, cross country course, PC rallies, working hunter clinics, 'races' in the fields with friends, shows on grass and surface and both group and private lessons. She has done some lovely lead rein and in hand showing this year, always coming home with plenty of rosettes and championships, and even took my daughter to be our local riding club overall junior showing champion! She has had lots of lovely comments from the judges that have seen her this season. I wouldn't recommend her as a first ridden at the moment due to being young and green, though she could be when she has had time to mature. She has huge potential, but to go any further in any sphere, she needs a home with the knowledge and time to work with her over winter to have her ready for next season. Our time is limited, otherwise we would be putting the work in ourselves to continue showing her at a higher level on the lead and in hand next season. Off the lead she needs a strong and confident rider to harness her attitude and go off and live life in the fast lane with her! With time and education, she could turn her hoof to anything! She is a little black fluffy ball of sass! She is happy enough to stand and be groomed, though will make her feelings known if she's not happy. She's a sensitive soul, and needs a home who knows shetlands and has the time and patience to spend with her, as she will take time to trust you, and who wants a friend to go off and have fun with. https://youtu.be/eZBzR26wVvk?si=_DLMAgqXa1oMjDRV £3500 - West Yorkshire based - 07827291905 (WhatsApp preferred initially)
--Excellent with children, hacks out in the heaviest traffic and goes off lead with complete novice children. He took a couple of months to trust us after coming from the Klingrahoull stud in Shetland, but once he did you could ask him to do anything. Although still green and nervous at times, he is the most willing pony. Never bucked or reared.
He competed in his first local shows last year as a 3 year old and placed top 3 in every in hand class. He is forward going and has an impressive jump. Jock is extremely intelligent and talented. Sadly, my sons are more interested in engines than ponies and he is not getting the work he deserves. Jock will excel in a showing, pony club or Shetland Grand National home. I’d like him to be in regular work as he lights up when he has a job to do, although will happily be ridden as normal after a few weeks Price - £2950 including tack and rugs -Based Ingleton, North Yorkshire Serious enquiries only. He absolutely loves his little people and is at his happiest when on a dog walk down the lanes. I actually toyed with the idea of selling him last year due to my daughter's lack of interest but couldn’t bare it so decided to break him to harness for me to enjoy and to keep him fit. I took my time and Nemo did this with ease which says more about his character than my ability as I’ve never done it before. He has been driven at home in open fields, in the neighbours menage and we have taken him to an indoor arena away from home and he hasn’t put a foot wrong. If someone with driving experience were to buy him and educate him further, I feel he could be very successful in this area. Due to all the lunging, long reining and voice command work we have done he’s extremely responsive, he has shown through this a real love for independent work so think he would thrive off the lead rein, if I had a more competent jockey, I’d take him off tomorrow.
Nemo is not a plodder, he’s very responsive and forward, loves having a job to do, up to date with farrier and vaccinations/ worming, great to load and clip. very well bred and has a strong history of showing, his previous owner also used him for pony parties. Only for sale due to lack of time and an uninterested jockey, he deserves to reach his full potential in a competitive and passionate home. £3300 including bridle and rugs. Carriage and harness available at an extra £600 loads of photos and videos available on request. Charlotte - 07527577814 |
