Ridden Awards Scheme
The aim of the Performance Awards Schemes is to encourage and promote the all round versatility of the Shetland as a Performance Pony by recognising participation and achievements in a wide variety of competitive disciplines, organised events and activities.
All Ponies must be registered in the main body of the Shetland Pony Society Stud-Book
The Ridden Awards Scheme runs from 1st November to 31st October Annually.
Entry £15 per Pony
(Extra Ponies in same family or enter another Scheme with same pony £10)

NB: To enable families with shared ponies to participate in the scheme ponies may be entered with more than one rider.

On joining the scheme you will receive a card on which to record the shows, events & activities in which you participate.
Simply return your completed card at the end of the year and we will work out your points and put them in the relevant categories for you.

10. General Purpose Pony - This category to include Cross Country, Dressage, Handy Pony, Jumping, Ride Section of Ride & Drive, Hunting & Displays. Long Distance (5 points per mile, please state miles on card). This class will be split as entries dictate. Trophies will be awarded within class.

NAN FRENCH SUPREME PONY - CHAMPION & RESERVE - (Points will be published down to 10th place in the Supreme pony Championship)
Auntie Vera Trophy - For the pony with the most points in the Open Ridden & WHP M&M
Novelty Pony Championship - (Inhand & Ridden) eg: Thelwell, Turnout, Hairiest Pony

a) Classes restricted to Shetland Ponies - 1st -50, 2nd -45, 3rd-40, 4th-35, 5th-30, 6th- 25 Champion - 20, Reserve – 10
b) Open Classes- 1st - 100, 2nd - 90, 3rd - 80, 4th - 70, 5th - 60, 6th - 50 - Champion - 50, Reserve – 25.
c) 50% extra points in qualifiers for PUK, CHAPS and NCPA.
DOUBLE POINTS in NPS, HOYS, RI qualifiers & at the National Shetland Performance Show & Shetland Society Breed Show.
d) Championship Finals will be double points to 6th place. Points will be awarded to 10th place at HOYS & RIHS.
e) SUPREME CHAMPION OF SHOW - 200, RESERVE SUPREME – 100
f) Gymkhana: Shetland classes: 1st-12, 2nd -10, 3rd -8, 4th -6, 5th-4, 6th-2 Champion - 10, Reserve - 5
Open Classes 1st-25, 2nd 20, 3rd-15, 4th 10, 5th -8, 6th-4 Champion - 20, Reserve - 10.
All sections 4 races per show - 50 points if chosen for PC A team / 30 points if chosen for PC B team.
