In hand he has excelled himself in the showring and he has good presence, holds himself well and moves nicely. He is a joy to take into the ring as he is very good with voice commands and listens. He has been described as a ‘good stamp of a pony!’ He has been out and about with us winning many of his classes. He won his class at the Royal Highland Show in 2018 and at the Great Yorkshire Show 2021, and at the latter went on to get Reserve Champion Male. Our daughter has done very well in hand with him this year winning both the Kinross Show Young Handler Championship and the Scottish Central Shetland Pony Show Young Handler Championship. Under saddle Parador loves lead rein, he listens and enjoys his job. Parador has taken well to being ridden off the lead rein but he is strong and needs clear, quiet aids. It has taken a while for our daughter to build a partnership with him (she is eleven) but they are now flying! He does a super dressage test (he has come first and second at dressage with Pony Club) and he has done: games, show jumping, cross country, fancy dress and showing. We took him to Blair this year and showed him in the Open Class where he gave our daughter a super ride in the Championship. He rides really nicely in double reins and we think he has great potential as he is a versatile, intelligent and smart little pony. We ride him out on hacks and take him for picnics, he is part of our family and so we would love for him to go to an experienced, loving home. Videos are available, please message me.
