"OK - its taken me a few days to get this far - and to be honest I’m still not sure I’m ready - but on Friday the 21st of December we lost our very precious Waulkmill Redstart along with Anna Chaplin and Ross Key’s Star in a very tragic accident.
Bought from a photo on Gerry Hart’s shetland-pony.com website at 3 weeks old from Roweena Provan (Earnbrig Reynard x Waulkmill Swallow), he arrived with us at 4am on a very foggy morning at 6 months old and turned our lives upside down........

We are so pleased Leah could open an early present,we thank each & every member for joining in the fun.
A huge well done to Katrina Byrne and Cumliebank Justory whose 1200 mile round trip to Olympia from Scotland paid of with a very credible 7th and some great breed flag flying.
Katrina said "He struggled with the heat a little in the warm up and showed a little bit more of his character than we really needed while waiting in the line up, but that’s why we love him. His 2 individual performances were really super and it was great to be in the big ring. "
SPS-BS Breed Show in 1999 so decided it was time to try it again. This was their first attempt - Clothie Night Idiot leader, Clothie Black Label swing and Clothie Flyn wheeler. They were perfectly behaved boys six reins in one hand is a little tricky though!
Winter maybe upon us but that doesn’t mean we are not busy...... This is Horninglow Whinlatter and Fay Emms having their first go at agility. It’s a really good way to bond with your pony. It is suitable for all ages of ponies and people (even grandma couldn’t resist having a play) and if you fancy having a go we have Agility at the Shetland Performance Show - 13th & 14th July 2019.
News from the Pony Breeders of Shetland Association re the 2019 Breed Show: "With planning for the Breed Show well under way & following on from all our correspondence over the past months, we had a meeting recently with Northlink Ferries management. It was a very positive meeting & all the options were put forward. Anyone wishing to travel to/from Shetland on Northlink Ferries, we would urge you to make your booking now to avoid disappointment during the busy holiday period. As negotiations are still in progress, we do not have discount codes available at this time, but, Northlink have confirmed that if you have a booking, the codes can be redeemed at a later date. A contact will be allocated nearer the time to supply you with all the relevant details & help you with your travel enquiries. We'll keep you posted!" The fabulous Briar Snowman taking Lily Richardson safely round her first workers & a great 2nd place result too while Finetime Florence won the Fancydress.
