North west championships

 Lola-Mae Hughes who celebrated her 5th birthday 5 days after the show and her 14 year old shetland pony Birchmoor Velvet, (Birchmoor Amedeus /  Fendale Victoria) won the M&M lead rein class judged by Pam Brown. They also went on to take Reserve supreme of show when Pam was joined by Co judge Robert Parker-Jones.
Velvet has been with us for 3 years, we initially had her 

 on loan but when offered the chance to buy her we jumped at it . They love to hack out with Lola's mum, Danielle Hughes and our Sec C Glynwyn the Living Daylights who celebrated success just a few weeks earlier at HOYS where he took the Welsh C title. Lola already rides Velvet off the lead rein too, so she is definitely following in her mother's footsteps.
