 A lovely show report from Lel Mayfield about Supernova World Championships Arena UK. We can’t think of a better way to spend time with your granddaughter than showing your Shetlands ☺️
It really really was our last show for 2018. A VERY long but successful day at Supernova World Championships Arena UK. A much better shetland turnout than originally thought with very lovely ponies forward. Plumtree Bonanza 1st in Miniature 2/3 years. Coedgleision Polly 1st Miniature mare/gelding 4+ and 2nd Watson Chickpea. Beeftub Bell Emileo 5th /11 in very strong standard 4+ Watson Chickpea 2nd in Open Piebald and Emily was Best SPSBS Junior handler and 2nd in Shetland/Miniature horse Junior handler age group. There was no miniature or junior SPSBS championship just an overall champion and reserve which went to two beautiful standards. Also best gelding was also Res Champ. The champion was Melinda of Mawbray owned by Dawn Hollingworth and shown by her daughter, Shelbie Ann Mcculloch. The breeder was Geoff. Watson. Having bred standard Shetlands for over 40 years, to have one reach the dizzy heights of "world champion" is beyond my wildest dreams and makes me immensely proud.
